The Guernsey branch of STEP is very active in delivering educational presentations to newer entrants to the fiduciary services profession and runs a series of monthly lunchtime seminars based on the life-cycle of a trust and corporate structure, roughly following the process from birth to death of such a structure. GTC Managing Director, Simon Savident, a Guernsey Branch committee member, sits on the sub-committee responsible for organising the delivery of this lecture series and this month stepped up to the plate to present the latest in the series on "Corporate Structures". The presentation introduced the common parties and terms encountered in company structures and explained the basic statutory processes as well as highlighting some of the uses and advantages of companies in fiduciary structures.
